Beautifying the legs, this is the concept of sheer hosiery. To beautify legs’ natural appearance on the outside and beautifying the way one feels while wearing such delights. The feminine feel of silky sheer pantyhose is truly life’s little pleasures. You will discover that magic will occur as you gently slide these modern wonders to your waist. The healthy glow, a polished shimmer, an instant spa treatment for your legs. The “second skin” not only feels soft and silky, it allows your legs to effortlessly glide over each other with such a pleasant, irresistible sensation! These are some of the vice words from my hero, Robert, who's a photographer and owner of a hosiery shop in Canada. An environment I know so well as I crew up in one myself. Spending time in trade/fashion shows as a kid and now as an adult, dressing up plushie toys in pantyhose. And it's great as they are good listeners, willing to fulfill all your desires. Just like the people below in the sexy spin-off YouTube chart of the famous Top 40. The chart that is about pantyhose. What is this website about? It is partly a genuine effort to offer ideas for those interested, also to serve as a calling card to showcase my "sickness", the passion that is pantyhose. Is this about trolling too? Undeniably a little. But first and foremost, it is just an online hub for my experiments, the things I enjoy.
Is a synonymy for European hosiery. Northern Italy particularly, a home to more brands than anywhere else on earth and a hub for private label production. Companies such as Oroblu with one of my favorite pantyhose "Pearl 15" or Calzedonia whose products are often associated with Hollywood starlets. Meanwhile, Cecilia de Rafael from Spain and Wolford from Austria are probably the "fan favorites" overall. The first focusing more in flashy youth (with its Eterno offerings) while Wolford is more of a discreet "royal" brand. In Germany, both Kunert-Hudson and Falke produce some of the best pantyhose and are well liked too. Same applies to French companies also who are perhaps more faithful to the heritage in their styles and composition than others. You can hardly go wrong with any of them or with most companies from the European continent. We know what makes the quality (smooth, uniform, lasting etc.) but what may be sometimes forgotten and undervalued is the added scent. Occasionally, companies add scent that seduces the senses in a best way as it is the case with Oroblu's "Different 20" for example. But it is the user experience of pantyhose that is the utmost importance for everyone. Feeling comfortable in them, feeling sexy. Don't hesitate to impress a woman with the highest quality she deserves! For example with a wide waistband for all day comfort. And not the least, size up (rather than size down) with elasticity for more fun.
Sexy visuals are important too, what looks good through the camera lens without clothes hiding them (such as for a lingerie shoot). Something that is often found around delicate, ultra sheer 10 denier when the individual yarns almost disappear with better brands. On the other end of the spectrum, opaque (above 40 denier) can look good too for shaping legs, the same way leggings can. A casual trend towards equality which is great but there is time and place for special moments too! And it doesn't have to be fine dining experience as dressing up to a dinner at McDonald's can boost the spirits too. The "average" can sometimes be desirable. That is true for example with UK brand Aristoc which naturally sits high up on the waist, above the belly button. Generally, pantyhose looks the best when it extends to the thinnest part of the waist. In case of my list above, almost all come with that sexy "sheer to waist" style with clearly visible t-band and cotton gusset while "boxer briefs" (control top) offers more of a traditional look, typically found in the store next door. A great look too as long as it comes with matte finish in both, the legs and hips (like in the case of "Comfort Style 20" by Gatta). "Fashionable" patterns are prohibited from my list as simplicity is preferred, with one exception. That is "Melody Stars by Veneziana". Regarding colors... Black is typically the default safe choice while the dark tones of grey/brown are often better alternatives, with a touch of warmth and illusion of extra sheerness.
Did you know the height requirements for fashion industry is largely due to convenience and cost cutting? With standardized sizes come savings on the garments destined on runways and editorials. Luckily with pantyhose, the pinnacle of fashion evolution, it is a different story as they stretch perfectly over every curve and body type. The least discriminating, most cost effective way to enhance women's heavenly contours. Particularly those beyond size "zero", with such a delicate, beautiful precision. Whether you are an average everyday person or a person with the looks, pantyhose serves as your closest companion.
For webcam models, pantyhose can serve many purposes. It can act as "safety blanket" between dirty, old fingers and you. It can preserve scent and moisture too if you desire to mail them to dirty, old noses. But also, it comes off more subtle and sensual than the alternatives. It's like meeting a girl in a hotel suit instead of the backseat of a Skoda. With in-room dining, followed by bath in candle light. And yes, a wet pantyhose for which the styles are as varied as the girls are but there's a clear favorite... Seamless as it offers an unobstructed view without a gusset. They are also the most modern/advanced pantyhose with most brands having 1-2 versions available. It is Platino's Sinn 10 which gets my vote as it photographs well and not the least for its beautiful waistband. Transparent nylon gussets are a good alternative but are rather rare these days. For a revealing, sexy look, nothing beats Gipsy Gloss 10, not even for its low price.
Few professions come to mind with a dress code that often requires pantyhose, such as office workers and flight attendants. But most notably it is the royals who cherish the heritage. Beautifying their appearance particularly in low denier nude tones which adds a little powder "make-up" on legs. Catherine, Princess of Wales (or Duchess of Cambridge as we've better known her) being in the forefront of those not afraid of pantyhose, even before her royal duties. But what was once more liberal has become more conservative, more subtle with time. That applies to most royals but history does know rebels too who occasionally enjoy flashing their legs in less subtle, shiny fashion. One of them is Queen Mathilde of Belgium, a clear lover of all things pantyhose. Diana, Princess of Wales was considered a rebel too, also famous for her appearance. Whether it was her hair, or her legs, she always exuded elegance. Something that requires dressing up right for the occasion, no matter the denier. However, it is the inviting sheer of low denier around 10 that gives the most elegant of appearances. It is perhaps no surprise that former misses tend to understand it the best as they've chased that score visually. Also particularly comfortable with pantyhose are the singers, even off stage. With sheer pair always available in their drawer.
From subtle in daytime to sexy in night time. Typically in 15 denier blacks or in 20-40 denier skin tones, with added boost of shine/gloss. Not to forget the classic (large and slightly reinforced) toes in black for a special impression! Something that is hard to find these days outside of dead stock. But what is not dead? Back seam. For those wanting to make a special statement, it is often their go-to choice, with touch of old school elegance. The designs with French heel are the best of all back seamed pantyhose in my opinion. Did you know Princess Diana wore back seams on quite a few occasions? Yep, she did indeed.
Ever wondered what's the go-to choice for world famous Playboy Bunnies and their sexy legs? 2 layers of sheer pantyhose provided by Danskin. A taupe pair on skin, a black pair on top of it. A look that is finished with gorgeous bunny suit in various colors. Meanwhile at the Hooters next door, the All-American chicken wings are served in almost opaque 40 denier pantyhose by Peavey Hosiery, typically in reddish suntan tone. Their signature, best selling "sauce". When it comes to famous brands associated with pantyhose, these two occupy the top of that list.
Besides the miniskirt in 60's, it is the high cut leotard in 80's that introduced pantyhose to every corner of the world. Those living through 80's & 90's, should remember aerobic regularly on TV. A call to physical self-care in pantyhose. An attitude revisited with a modern twist by individuals like Khloe Kardashian in opaque tights and Dua Lipa in fishnets. Or an aerobic squad of "Retrosweat" appropriately in classic pantyhose. A female alternative from Down Under. From dancers to figure skaters, they've all recognized what makes exercise fun and attractive with the best scores! Or regarding singers and cheerleaders, with the best cheers. Particularly the "Song Girls" of USC in Southern California who not only master the style with white uniforms and non-shimmer nude pantyhose with red shoes but also the dance moves as their priority.
For a while in late 1930's, two companies agreed on supplying stockings to different markets. The American DuPont to west of Germany, the German counterpart IG Farben to the east of Germany. It happened with the invention of new nylon/perlon fabric and 20 years before the invention of pantyhose. The original Berlin Wall before the actual wall. Nowadays, both are gone, IG Farben and GDR. But not pantyhose! Today, Brandenburg Gate serves as a gateway to east with old tradition of sheer while the west slowly moved more towards opaque. It is Berlin which is often touted as the party capital of the world but could it also be the pantyhose capital of the world? For what it represents... The genuine love for leggy displays. Where parties needs to be entered with legs shown, proudly. Where Oktoberfest continues for the remaining 11 months of the year.
From back seats of iconic black cabs all the way to Buckingham Palace, London provides a backdrop worthy of pantyhose. A must visit city thanks to active media/paparazzi culture, both virtually and actually. A clear #1 city in English speaking world for all things pantyhose! It has it all, from studios to Essex girls to royals. It has Rita Ora and Dua Lipa, both known lovers of pantyhose. But also former misses/models, turned tv hosts such as Holly Willoughby. The royalty of the common folk. But what sets London apart from the rest are undoubtedly those black cabs circling the city streets. If you haven't been filmed in one, you ain't anyone!
Set in Chicago, the musical follows housewife-turned-murderess Roxie Hart, and fellow inmate Velma Kelly, on a mission to capitalize on their notoriety and transform themselves into celebrities. Both of whom were accused of killing their respective lovers while under the influence of jazz and drink. It is greed, corruption, violence, exploitation, adultery, treachery, and yes, a murder that describe Chicago, a must see show to die for. The art that imitates real life. But most of all, it is the lustful indulgence of black pantyhose on display that has made it the longest running, sexiest show currently on Broadway. Partly thanks to off off Broadway and its preference to garden hose. Older celebrities like Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields have starred in it. Also younger celebs such as Ashlee Simpson and Rumer Willis. Proving how a fine pair of pantyhose spans generations, from ripened to still sour. Book your tickets now for your guiltiest pleasure! Until musical "Mykolaiv" comes to Broadway sometimes in the 2030s.
